Suprise!!!!

"SURPRISE" ...That is exactly what I got when I stuck my hand in my pocket Tuesday night. In a previous blog I shared that I lost a SD card with some valuable pictures on it...well I found it...YEA!!! in my pocket, some place I remember putting it so that I would not lose it. Now I can laugh. So that means I have pictures from way back to share with you...hope you don't mind.

First things first. Tuesday was the last home game for Joshua, he is a senior this year. It was parent night where the parents walk out on the field with their child and give them a gift from you and the baseball program. Everyone is standing at the fence...Alicia graciously volunteers to take our picture and guess what...the camera went BYE BYE. No picture! It is an older camera but it has been a good one. The only problem with it now is that it only stays charged...with new batteries...fifteen minutes. I haven't changed settings, so I don't know what is wrong but it has been heading this way for some time now. So, due to graduation being less than a month away and lots and lots more games to play, and after five years of great pictures, I put the Kodak aside and bought a new camera..

Don't know much about it...to high tech for me. I had to have Misty come over yesterday just to show me how to take a picture and then how to view it. Today I plan on playing with it to insure that graduation pictures are good.

So now, on with the SD card I found...my baby girl playing her sport and doing it well. She has never really been given the opportunity to serve and this past year in JO (Junior Olympics), she found out that she could do it pretty good.

Rehab and Volleyball, what a combination

Check mom out doing her rehab. She did great today...30 reps of every exercise. She also walked more today than she has in the past. I am so proud of her...go momma.

J.O. has started back...yea!!!!!! I love volleyball. Micah is on a different team this year that is closer to home due to all of the excitement around our house. We had our first tournament in Jonesboro this past weekend and guess what? They got the GOLD. Yep...first place. The cool thing about this team is they are playing up in the 17's bracket and there is only two girls that are seventeen, five that are 16, one that is 15, and one that is 14. That that is pretty impressive if you ask me. Congratulations girls...looking forward to the rest of the season with you.

Yippeee, I have a new Stampin' Up! web site of my own. It was a hard decision to make considering the monthly cost, but in the Fall you will be able to order from my site anytime you want, 24/7. I have lots of pictures to share today, so I will get on with it. It excites me when a friend from a workshop, goes home and tries to duplicate her own cards from the previous workshop, with her own stamp sets. Vickie D. did a great job doing that. In the previous blog I showed you how we used the bleaching technique on the Summer by the Sea stamp set. Vickie used Loads of Love pg 39 of the Spring and Summer Catalog to make this one.

Here she has used Thoughts of Father on pg 45 to create these cards.

She has made many more and I will send those your way at a later date.

Now, on to my girl. She and her high school team has been in camp all week at Westside, here are some pictures from camp.

Here, Micah is face to face with a former Junior Olympic team mate, which is pretty cool to see how much they both have improved.

This is coach Darlene. She really is trying to look serious in this picture because she doesn't want you to think she is to much fun...but this year...volleyball is all about fun. Therefore, Micah is having a blast. Micah said she didn't know playing a sport could be this much fun.

Yep, there those girls are again. They will not take a serious picture.

Micah, Em, and Bree. Bree was Micah's room mate at Missouri State and Micah says that this is how Bree is all the time...very little down time...always pumped and acting silly.

Atlanta

Wow, it's been a while since I have been on the computer to update. Since my last entry a lot has happened...our Atlanta trip, South Carolina trip, minor surgery, and the list goes on. I have not had an opportunity to make cards in a while due to the reconstruction of our basement. Mike is setting it up where I can have my own studio section and wall dividing it from the theater...yeah, I can't wait.

I am downloading a few pictures to share with you of our trips...I hope that you enjoy.

This picture is from the balcony of our room at the Hyatt in Downtown Atlanta. We were on the 22nd story.

While sight seeing we stopped at the Coca-cola world to check out what was happening here. We got our picture made with the founder of Coke...Fred joined him in a toast.

We also visited Centennial Park...although not a lot happening there due to the tornado that touched down the weekend before we got there.

Micah wanted her dad to fix her hair today...she loves the attention everyone is giving her.

Fred was the Easter bunny that shagged balls for the girls...cute in pink bunny ears.
The girls are celebrating Easter with each other...showering each girl with gifts to represent the ultimate gift given for all...Jesus. Oh, did I mention that it was also Micah's 15th birthday, she got double the gifts

Micah and I made these accordion scrapbook for each of the girls...they were a hit.

Micah celebrated playing a super terrific game by jumping on me. Now we leave Atlanta and join Joshua in South Carolina.

We stopped at Cracker Barrel for some good food and entertainment.

Imagine with me...coming home to a house full of people, 17 adults and 16 children to be exact...and they have rearranged your furniture. Yep, that's my small group. Flip flopped my whole living room up...and I love it. They said it only took them 3 minutes. When I get it cleaned up, I will take a picture.

I am up late, just got home from watching my baby boy, Fred, play ball in a tourney at Westside High school, yes, we won and yes, I am bragging. Maybe one of these days I will remember to take my camera to his games. Mikes in St. Louis so what else is a girl to do but blog?

Shreveport

We are wore completely out...came home to 14 vehicles in our driveway. Our small group from church meets in our home on Sunday nights...17 adults and more kiddos than I could count. While Micah and I took a little nap, Mike made up for any lost time we might have had. We made it from Shreveport, LA to Paragould in 4 1/2 hours...it is a 6 hour trip...I did not even ask.

I have a few pics to share with you from the trip... more to come later...I hope you enjoy.

Micah was very comfortable on the trip to Shreveport...long nap in the back seat.This is their opening...pump you up...jump.Eight in the morning is really early to play, especially when Savannah did not get to her hotel room until late the night before...I think it was around 10:30pm when we finally got there, and that's after the afternoon matches. We did not have any problems sleeping on our pillow top beds with many, many pillows.Taylor with a "IN YOUR FACE" shot...better get out of her way!!!I know, I know...I usually show all the good pictures but today we had a little talk about blessing the Lord in the good and bad...this happens to be one of the four balls Micah did not get over the net...but whose counting...she is!

We are very blessed to have the opportunity to play sports...we just have to remember that it is only by the grace of God that we have the abilities we have...He gives and takes away, so enjoy it and praise Him in the good and bad...at least your not in a wheelchair, you have both arms, and two feet and leg muscles to jump with...have fun and do your best and give God the glory. I am very proud of you princess, your my hero and thanks for letting God use you to teach your momma few things.
