Christmas in July '09

Finally, Christmas in July. It was a great success and I am very thankful for the attendance and patience of our friends. We had nine in attendance and then JoAnn and I and our girls. For our first go around...it was perfect. Lots and lots of incredible food to eat. Vickie made some homemade salsa that was a frequent stop for me.
Only a few things that we will change next year.
These are our family and friends that attended.
Here are a few of the projects that we made. My camera ran out of juice so I will have to share more photos of the projects at a later date.
This is a gift bag with four gift tags that can be used for Christmas presents...everyone needs these. I will show another picture later of all the tags...sorry. To and From is on the back of tags. We used that Big Shot Top Notes die to make the topper and Christmas Punch, a hostess level 2 stamps set for the tags.
This card featured vellum. It was fun and easy. I wish I had the original card that JoAnn made because it looks a lot better than this one.
These cards feature "Doodle This" a retired stamp set embossed in Gold. I showed two pictures to show how we fanned the flower to look like a poinsettia.
This card features the "Christmas Swirl" stamp set. We also made a 12 x 12 scrapbook page featuring the same idea as the card that I will have to show at a later date.

A country Christmas card made with the 1 1/4 circle punch and small tag punch.
Super easy card.

3D card using the Crabby Claws stamp set. This card was a lot of fun and a fan favorite.
This card featured the Circle Scissor Plus cutter and the technique "masking". It was fun to make as well.
These tile coaster were easy and a great Christmas gift. We used the
Holy Triptych stamp set.
If you have any questions or would like to make any of these gift items or cards, let me know and I would love to assist you.
Thank you so much ladies for attending and for making this a great experience for JoAnn and I. We are very thankful and grateful to have you as our friends and customers.

Scrapbook pages and cards

Finally some peace and quite in the house so I got busy. I have never cut so many pieces of paper in my life!!! Joann and I are getting ready for a Christmas in July workshop, July 25th. We have placed deadlines on ourselves and I am trying to get done what I can now instead of waiting to the last minute. More information on the Christmas in July is to come so please keep an eye out for it.

I am participating in a SWAP of cards in a couple of weeks. I am to use my favorite stamp set and make multiple cards using that set. I have already shown you a picture of the card in a previous blog but here are all eight of them finished. They are used as dinner invitations using the Voila stamp set and with the important information typed inside.
Lovely as a Tree is my favorite stamp set but I didn't get it until I had already started these. Voila stamp set is my second fav.
I also had time to work on my workshop coming up on July 28th. We are using the "Hoppy Memories" Simply Scrappin' Kit to make eight or more scrapbook pages. I have already shown you some in previous blogs with our pictures, here are some with no pictures.

Hoppy Memories is a great kit for outdoor pictures. I have had lots of fun with this kit and am looking forward to the workshop.

Happy stamper today!!!

I went to a SU! sale today, well, yesterday and the day before too...and got over $800.00 worth...my cost for...are you ready for this? $380.00. Can you believe it? I could not. Not only did I get to rack up on the saving, so did Joann...I don't even remember what her savings was...but it was huge...so that made it even better. Now she will several options to choose from on her first work shop.
Heads up for all of our stampin' buddies...we are getting together a Christmas in July work shop. It is so exciting having some one along side of you to do business with. I don't feel like a loner anymore. Stay tuned for future blogs on the date, time what to expect along with some great door prizes to give away.
Still have four spots left in the "Best Ever" workshop on the 2nd of May. Let me know if you are interested by the 19th of April so that I can get our merchandise ordered.
Thought I would share a couple of pictures of my family that were taken on Micah's 16th birthday.
.

How truly I am blessed.

Wow, what a full day

Back to school workshop was more fun than work. Only two showed up but we had fun all the same...maybe a little too much. Check Lynn out sporting the bows we made tonight. Vickie came armed and ready to teach us a thing or two. She instructed us on how to make these bows after attending Dana Bakers Christmas in July workshop on Saturday. Aren't they cute? Can't wait to use it this Christmas.

These are the projects that we made tonight.

I also wanted to show you the variation of each card because each person had a
different idea for their card.
So I said bye bye to the girls and got on my bottom and clued in the remaining pieces of the hardwood down.

Hallelujah...It Is Finished!!!!

Tomorrow we sand down the trim and repaint. No more remodeling for a while.

I have to rest up for school...oh yeah, did I tell you that I have to sub the first two weeks of school. Who misses the first week of school? Well, whatever reason, I am sure that it is a good one. Ta Ta for now. Lisa

I was down but now I'm up!!!

What I mean by down this time is that, I forgot to put my card in my camera at the Christmas in July workshop that I went to and I could not figure out how to get them off my camera. So I did the next best thing...got Gingers (www.gingerbales.blogspot.com ). Thanks Ginger and I love the new web design. You rock girl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Micah and I enjoying some mommy and daughter time. We love to stamp together. She is very good too.
This is one of my long time buds...Misty,
co-owner of Vegas Tans in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Google the web site and check it out. If you live around here go by and see her and tell her I sent you.
This is the Lynn I know...always having a blast, making everyone she is around to laugh. This is why I get excited when she comes to my workshops...always a hoot.
My best friend and stampin' buddy, Ginger.. As if we didn't already share everything together, now we stamp together.
Look at this...Amy is the one that Lynn is making laugh now. Amy and Ginger work together. Amy is a new lover and addict to stamping.
Yes...this is Joann...our Associate Pastors wife and it is all her fault I love stamping!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a ladies night out stamping party and I became addicted. My life has never been the same.
