Marker Club fun time

While waiting for the ladies to arrive I put together this very simple card...I hope you try it out yourself and send me your pictures.

Recipe:
Card Stock: Real Red, Real Red Designer Series Paper, and Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green, and Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: I use the paper piercing technique around the Whisper White, Ticket Punch, Jersey Ribbon Originals and Bold Brights Buttons
Stamp set: The Retiring set called For a Friend

Yep, tonight was a great night, lots of laughs and great food. This is the card that the ladies made as a "thank you" for being a part of the club.
Recipe:
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi Designer Series Paper, Wild Wasabi Textured Card Stock
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Ticket Punch, glue dots, and Stampin Dimensional
Some of the ladies chose to go with the Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink designer paper...either way they went home with a nice card to share with someone special.

Thanks Amy for hosting a great workshop!!!

Marker Club/Promotion

Today was a pretty exciting day for me as a demonstrator...I know that to everyone else it may not be a big deal, but today I recieved my certificate of promotion to Supervisor and recieved my next level pin, which, as you can see, Michael was glad to pen on me.

Then the girls from the Marker Club started filing in. Short and sweet, one project and lots of discussion on what products we would like next. Placed our orders and YEAH, Ginger had enough for a $200.00 workshop in which she recieved (1) Level one stamp set and $20.00 worth of free merchandise. Great job Ginger, and the orders are still coming in.

Caught Ginger off guard. Isn't she cute? Now she is a serious scrapper and you do not want to get in her way when she starts. She's on a mission and will not let up until done to perfection.

Lisa was the first to finish her anniversary card/invitation card...I guess this card will be for John...but don't tell him!!! It's a suprise.

...and here, Amy and Joann are working hard to line each peice up perfect.
Now don't look to hard at mine b/c I used peieces for this example so that I would not have to cut up more paper. I used the Mark the Date stamp set on page 125 of Spring and Summer Idea Book, Brilliant Blue, Real Red, and Whisper White card stock on page 164, and Round Tab punch on page 181. Just layer the colors and leave one side open for your insert and there you have it. Birthday, Special Occation, Wedding invitation...use your imagination. Oh, we did that too tonight...used our imagination, that is. We discoved that you could use this stamp set for games too...Connect Four, Bingo and Checkers. Can you think of any other? If so let me know. I will try it out.

I really enjoyed tonight and am looking forward to the next meeting. Please let me know your ideas for this stamp set.

Very Sweet Moment

This morning, while spending time with the Lord, I asked Him to show me the little blessings today...help me to get my focus off of me and on Him. I turned my head and this is what I saw...

The Lord, The Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, watering my tomato plants. How awesome is that? I didn't even have to ask Him to do it, He just did! Stop and look for the little blessings that we sometimes overlook and thank Him for them and for caring for you in the smallest of ways.

Now, this is why I have not had time to post any cards or scrapbook pages. It seems as though remodeling never ends when you are doing it all your self. We had tile in the foyer but it didn't match the rest of the tile in the kitchen...so we pulled it up. The boys worked very hard and deserved the nap they took. We have since then put most of the time down but still have a few pieces to cut. When we are finished I will show you to end result.

I am very thankful that my boys are strong and healthy. My daughter too, but she doesn't get into the remodeling like we do, she is usually babysitting.

Tonight is our Marker Club meeting and I am excited to have the opportunity to take pictures and have fun tonight with my girlfriends.

Remember to stop and ask and He will show you. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Marker Club

Last night we held our first Marker Club Meeting. Five out of the eight were present and we had a blast...or maybe I should speak for myself...I had a blast. I have a group of seven ladies, eight including me, meet at my house once a month for workshop and we collect the Markers from SU! I will love sharing with you some of the pictures that I took during the workshop... I also love showcasing fellow stamp sisters. Joann took me up on the challenge when I sent an email with an idea for Mother's Day gift box and she used her new stamp set she purchased from SU!

Stamp set: Enjoy Every Moment on pg 51, set of 11 for $29.95
She covered a pop tart box with wrapping paper, isn't that cute?

I love this stamp set out of the Spring/Summer Catty, Moose You; set of 6 for $17.95. These are some great cards Joann, keep up the exceptional work!!

See how you can use wallpaper...Lynn made this card for Michael's birthday.

Bring your creations over and I will show case yours. Have a blessed day.

God is so good!!

I meet with a group of women on Tuesday mornings for Bible Study and today is worth blogging about. We didn't do it the way we normally do, we kinda just chilled out, ate some fruit and veggies and shared with each other. Tears were shed, advice given, lots of prayer, mentoring and the presence of the Holy Spirit was so real. I am so grateful that I serve a HUGE God that cares about my every need and listens when I cry out to Him. I just really wanted to praise Him publicly, so thanks for letting me do so!!
This is a very simple card that I will be show casing with my "Marker Club" gals this Thursday.

Very simple Recipe all materials used from SU! :
Card Stock: Real Read, Whisper White, and East Coast Prep for the Designer Paper
Ink: Summer Sun and White Gel Pen
Stamp Set: Sassie Suzie without Susie, ha ha
Accessories: Ribbon Slider from the Hodgepodge Hardware and Chip board that I colored with Summer Sun ink on the inside of the card.

This is the inside, not a great picture but you get the idea. Hope you like, let me know what you think. You can purchase any of these cards from me ...Each card is $2.50, the eleventh card and on is $2.00.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!
