Excitement

How exciting it is when you have a new person come along side of you and gets excited about the same thing that creates joy in your life...Vickie...come on down...you are the next one to be spot lighted on my blog. I am going to share a couple of cards with you that Vickie has made. She is new to the craft of card making, so her excitement is igniting a new excitement in me to get going and make some cards.

Aren't these good? Let her know if you get a chance. I am only showing you a couple...I have down loaded several to share at a later day also.

Here are a few that I made yesterday at a workshop...

I am very grateful to have the privilege of getting to make these cards for people. It is a love that the Lord has carved very deep into my soul to encourage others through words of encouragement.

The picture speakes for itself!!!

This is why I want all carpet out of my house NOW!!!!!!!! This is only the office area...otherwise known as the dinning room in most homes; also used as the walk through to the kitchen area. Now in my defence, this carpet has been down now for 15 years and I have raise three children and two dogs on it. No wonder I have to dust a thousand times a day if I want my house to look dust free...so bye bye carpet...

This is the pile of dirt and sand all sweep to one location...yuck!!!!! My baby wants to get a microscope and see what all is in this pile...that just simple grosses me out...what I don't know will not hurt me. OMG...Fred just said," you are putting that on the Internet...that's just wrong...you don't blog stuff like that !!!" I guess this shows my transparency...I want you to make a educated decision when you are deciding to put down carpet or hard surfacing in your house.

Now I would like to share with you some photos of a Bible Study group that I am a part of. We are doing the Lisa Whelchel scrap-booking Bible study of "My Story". We are scrapping our legacy. This is Mary and she is telling the story of her youngest son to give to her beautiful, long a waited granddaughter.

Joann is journaling about her family and writing scripture in her journaling. These ladies are some of my favorite people to hang out with because of their love for the Lord and love for others.

Now I am off to a workshop with a friend of mine. I will try to get pictures for you later...until then... see ya.

Lisa A makes new cards to share with you.

I have always told my ladies that when they make their own creations to please get me pictures of them. Here are two cards that Lisa A made with her new items that she purchased from Ginger's workshop last week.

These cards are using the Rose Red Prints Designer Series Paper, Summer by the Sea (dormant list at the moment) and the Text & Texture stamp sets.

Again the Rose Red Designer paper with the corset look. These are great, Lisa. Thanks for sharing with everyone.

Good Morning to all

I feel like I have slept for a week, really I do. How often can you say that. I came home from a ball game on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 and took a nap...slept until 5:00 and had to be awaken by my hubby to go to the next game at 5:30. Went back to bed at 10:00. Yesterday, after church, our youngest had a game at 1:00 and after the game I came home and took a nap only to be awaken by friends, are you ready for this?... at 7:30 to take us out to eat. I didn't even struggle sleeping last night when I went back to bed at 10:00. WOW, I feel great. And I know what your saying, " You should feel great!!!" Okay, no more bragging. I have several pictures to show today, so I will start off with a card.

This card is sues the Wild Wasabi Textured card stock and Purely Pomegranate. Chocolate Chip ink is used and Chip board flower from the On Board Accents. A white button out of my button collection to accessorize and my Ticket Punch for the corners. Very easy card to make.

Remember to check out the Stampin Up! web site to see the retired list that has become available, www.stampinup.com . Contact me on the special that I am running for this promotion.

Check out this poster found at the ball parks yesterday. This is so appropriate for these to fellers. They are great guys that love to tease. They nick name every person that walks through the ball park that they get to know. My nick name is "BMW". I will let you chew on that one for a while. Hope that you can read the poster but if not it suggest that you should run if you see these two guys anywhere. If you know who they are call them and let them know that you saw the poster on the internet.

Yesterday my oldest went fishing with his girlfriend and this is what he brought home.

15 Crappie, yum yum.

Well as much as I would like to post more. I have another game to attend today at 12:30 at Mountain View. Anyone know where that is? I guess I will rely on Tom Tom to get me there.

Hope you have a blessed day

I figured it out

Here are the pics of my baby on the mound for the Paragould All Star team. We are very proud of him and what he accomplished tonight on the mound. We expect to see many more rounds on that mound. Have a blessed day.

YES, he's home!!!!!!!

My husband, who has been away for the past three days, has been getting his continuing education hours for his work. I so desperately wanted to go with him but chances had it that I couldn't this time. If you read my previous blog you know that I thought that I would scrap, scrap, scrap till I couldn't stand it anymore...NOT!!!
Well anyway, as I was walking out to take our youngest son to his game...he walks in. Major load lifted considering that my oldest son had a game too and both boys were pitching. Always want to be there when our boys are pitching...very dangerous. Our oldest pitched his first shut out, no hitter...dad got to see that game. Our youngest didn't do to bad either considering this was his first time and I do mean, first time, to pitch....lol, you had to be there to understand. If and when I can down load that picture to this page I will show off my baby pitching.

Okay, enough rambling...now to the cards. I chose to do very simple cards tonight considering that the time was getting pretty late...11:25pm.

Stamp set: Full of Life which will no longer be available after this month

Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Prints Pack Designer series Paper from the Hostess rewards

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon and the Ticket Corner punch

Both cards are simple yet very feminine. I hope you enjoy. I hope to have more to show tomorrow.

A card...yippee!!!!!!

My husband has been out of town for a few days and I thought I would do nothing but stamp. What was I thinking? I have three children going in three different directions...Legion baseball, All-Star baseball, and Volleyball Play days at different schools. I don't realize what all he does until he is not here. My husband is not one that comes home from work and sits down in his recliner and enjoys a glass of tea. No, when he walks in he usually starts a load of laundry and determine which child he will be accompanying that night and gets them where they need to be. If suppers ready, fine, if not, he stops and gets them something. I am a very lucky woman. I have to make time for my Bible studies because nothing is taking my time from my Heavenly Father, and make time to do house work. Yes, I do have my kids do their part but sometimes that is like pulling teeth...you moms know what I am talking about. The beast in me comes out and I have to threaten with taking away their social lives if the work doesn't get done. It's amazing what I can get accomplished when the beast shows up. So after a late ball practice this is what I worked on. I hope you enjoy.
This is the "By Ones and By Twos" stamp set that will no longer be available after this month. Rarely do you find a stamp set that has quotes about twins. I know this is kinda plain but sometimes plain is good.

I had a blast with this card trying to use as many as my new punches that I could. I used the Spiral punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Small Tag punch, Horizontal Slot punch, 3/4" Square punch, and inside the Ticket Corner punch. I was pretty impressed I could use that many.

Now these pictures need lots of explaining. My daughter plays on a volleyball team with crazy girls that love to use their wild imaginations. Here are two juniors that came by to perform for her and I had to take pics.

Here we have the owner of this pretend dog holding a dog leash. It is sported by a red rhinestone collar and matching sun glasses for the doggy. The doggy is wearing white gloves because she is a rich and proper doggy.

Wait a minute...did I call that dog a "SHE"? I must have been mistaken. It's a "HE", or so that is how it appears in this picture. Yes this is a average day for us for someone to show up on our door step doing crazy things like this. To top it off, the owner and her doggy went into public like this with the dog barking and trying to lick people...no not really, just acting like she or he was...whatever.

This is how IT walked around, oh, and IT even hung it's head out the window and barked through our sub division. I can only imagine what my daughter will be like in the future with this influences around her. Please pray for me and her.

On a side note...if my daughter had to be like any of the girls, these are two fine ones to hang out with. They are just a little warped.

A few minutes...a few cards

It seems forever since I have had the opportunity to post...remodeling takes all your time when you are not following your kiddo's with their sports, going to church, eatin' and sleepin'. I just had to take a few and relax by making a couple of cards.

All products used are from Stampin' Up!, unless otherwise stated.

Stamp Set: Fresh Cut Flowers; Not yet released in catalog but able to purchase until June 30th as a promotional item.

Card stock: Cameo Coral, Basic Black, and Whisper White

Ink: Cameo Coral

Accessories: Spiral Punch and Black satin ribbon purchased at Wal-Mart

This is a simple card to make and it is in scripted with "Thank You" inside.

This picture is not good for this card...prettier in person...I guess I need a better camera for taking close ups. I have started working on Christmas cards and experimenting a little. Again, I used the Fresh Cut Flowers on this card facing, added a little Ruby Red to the berries and it looked like Holly.

Card Stock: Very Vanilla

Ink: Ruby Red and Garden Green

Accessories: Pattern wheel for sewing, sponge to dab ink around the edges of card and a little dab of glitter glue to make it sparkle.

Again this card is also very simple and easy to make.

Now to my exciting weekend. I spent it at ASU watching my oldest play baseball. Here are a few pictures from the game.

He is the one on the left laying down. He had pitched five innings and the wind was crazy. He was wore out along with the rest of the guys after that ballgame.

This is not the greatest of pictures but it is him on the mound at Arkansas State University. You never know we may see him there again in the future.

Marker Club/Promotion

Today was a pretty exciting day for me as a demonstrator...I know that to everyone else it may not be a big deal, but today I recieved my certificate of promotion to Supervisor and recieved my next level pin, which, as you can see, Michael was glad to pen on me.

Then the girls from the Marker Club started filing in. Short and sweet, one project and lots of discussion on what products we would like next. Placed our orders and YEAH, Ginger had enough for a $200.00 workshop in which she recieved (1) Level one stamp set and $20.00 worth of free merchandise. Great job Ginger, and the orders are still coming in.

Caught Ginger off guard. Isn't she cute? Now she is a serious scrapper and you do not want to get in her way when she starts. She's on a mission and will not let up until done to perfection.

Lisa was the first to finish her anniversary card/invitation card...I guess this card will be for John...but don't tell him!!! It's a suprise.

...and here, Amy and Joann are working hard to line each peice up perfect.
Now don't look to hard at mine b/c I used peieces for this example so that I would not have to cut up more paper. I used the Mark the Date stamp set on page 125 of Spring and Summer Idea Book, Brilliant Blue, Real Red, and Whisper White card stock on page 164, and Round Tab punch on page 181. Just layer the colors and leave one side open for your insert and there you have it. Birthday, Special Occation, Wedding invitation...use your imagination. Oh, we did that too tonight...used our imagination, that is. We discoved that you could use this stamp set for games too...Connect Four, Bingo and Checkers. Can you think of any other? If so let me know. I will try it out.

I really enjoyed tonight and am looking forward to the next meeting. Please let me know your ideas for this stamp set.

Very Sweet Moment

This morning, while spending time with the Lord, I asked Him to show me the little blessings today...help me to get my focus off of me and on Him. I turned my head and this is what I saw...

The Lord, The Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, watering my tomato plants. How awesome is that? I didn't even have to ask Him to do it, He just did! Stop and look for the little blessings that we sometimes overlook and thank Him for them and for caring for you in the smallest of ways.

Now, this is why I have not had time to post any cards or scrapbook pages. It seems as though remodeling never ends when you are doing it all your self. We had tile in the foyer but it didn't match the rest of the tile in the kitchen...so we pulled it up. The boys worked very hard and deserved the nap they took. We have since then put most of the time down but still have a few pieces to cut. When we are finished I will show you to end result.

I am very thankful that my boys are strong and healthy. My daughter too, but she doesn't get into the remodeling like we do, she is usually babysitting.

Tonight is our Marker Club meeting and I am excited to have the opportunity to take pictures and have fun tonight with my girlfriends.

Remember to stop and ask and He will show you. Have a blessed day in the Lord.
