Wow, what a full day

Back to school workshop was more fun than work. Only two showed up but we had fun all the same...maybe a little too much. Check Lynn out sporting the bows we made tonight. Vickie came armed and ready to teach us a thing or two. She instructed us on how to make these bows after attending Dana Bakers Christmas in July workshop on Saturday. Aren't they cute? Can't wait to use it this Christmas.

These are the projects that we made tonight.

I also wanted to show you the variation of each card because each person had a
different idea for their card.
So I said bye bye to the girls and got on my bottom and clued in the remaining pieces of the hardwood down.

Hallelujah...It Is Finished!!!!

Tomorrow we sand down the trim and repaint. No more remodeling for a while.

I have to rest up for school...oh yeah, did I tell you that I have to sub the first two weeks of school. Who misses the first week of school? Well, whatever reason, I am sure that it is a good one. Ta Ta for now. Lisa

I was down but now I'm up!!!

What I mean by down this time is that, I forgot to put my card in my camera at the Christmas in July workshop that I went to and I could not figure out how to get them off my camera. So I did the next best thing...got Gingers (www.gingerbales.blogspot.com ). Thanks Ginger and I love the new web design. You rock girl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Micah and I enjoying some mommy and daughter time. We love to stamp together. She is very good too.
This is one of my long time buds...Misty,
co-owner of Vegas Tans in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Google the web site and check it out. If you live around here go by and see her and tell her I sent you.
This is the Lynn I know...always having a blast, making everyone she is around to laugh. This is why I get excited when she comes to my workshops...always a hoot.
My best friend and stampin' buddy, Ginger.. As if we didn't already share everything together, now we stamp together.
Look at this...Amy is the one that Lynn is making laugh now. Amy and Ginger work together. Amy is a new lover and addict to stamping.
Yes...this is Joann...our Associate Pastors wife and it is all her fault I love stamping!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a ladies night out stamping party and I became addicted. My life has never been the same.

WOW! It works again

No, I have not been lazy...well, I mean with my blogging. My computer has been down and it has been driving me crazy. PLWC was here at 8 am to fix it for me...therefore, I am BLOGGING!

It has been an overwhelming week: working at the school, laying hardwood, volleyball games and doing ministry. I would not trade any of it for the world but I am ready for a rest. I am excited about my workshop tonight...Back to School fun. Hope to see ya here! Check out this card that Vickie K. created. Don't you love it? I do...great job Vickie!!

Here are some pictures from the Volleyball camp this week at Valley View.

She so bad wants these glasses.

I thought it was cool when a girl from Wynne joined in the picture...no we don't have a clue who she is but we probably have played against her 50 times in the last three weeks. She told us that she really wasn't black she just like to tan a lot. That broke the ice, she joined in and became one of us. You go girl!!!

Do you get the idea that these girls love the camera? Me too. See ya later with more pictures...have a blessed day.

Teacher Appreciation

I loooooove daytime workshops.; we had a blast today. Here are some pictures of the workshop.

We even had a surprise visitor and I forgot to get her picture...sorry Ginger.

The original card that I made for the workshop is at the top right hand corner...look at how they took my example and ran with their own ideas...I love it and it gives them ownership to the card.

This is Micah's creation with Summer by the Sea.

Freebies

I wanted to show you what Stampin' Up! sent me today...FREE! That's one of the perks of being a demonstrator, you earn points and points turn into merchandise. How cool is that? Scallop Circle punch...$15.95, 1 1/4 " Circle punch ...$15.95 and Stampin' Dimensionals...$3.95. They didn't stop there either, they sent me a trial of the new decorating elements...flowers. Thanks Stampin' Up! for being so good to us.

A few pictures of the remodel process...it was a family affair tonight. Joshua is not pictured her but he did his share of the works.

There, I finally got a picture of the new hair cut. No he is not happy with us, he likes the long string mess but now he looks like a young man again.

Off to bed, I am going to be sore tomorrow. Lisa

New Web Site

Yippeee, I have a new Stampin' Up! web site of my own. It was a hard decision to make considering the monthly cost, but in the Fall you will be able to order from my site anytime you want, 24/7. That was reason enough for me to get it, so that you can be more easily accommodated. To go to the web site, go to www.lisatarry.stampinup.net . Let me know what you think. I am pretty pumped about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have lots of pictures to share today, so I will get on with it. It excites me when a friend from a workshop, goes home and tries to duplicate her own cards from the previous workshop, with her own stamp sets. Vickie D. did a great job doing that. In the previous blog I showed you how we used the bleaching technique on the Summer by the Sea stamp set. Vickie used Loads of Love pg 39 of the Spring and Summer Catalog to make this one.

Here she has used Thoughts of Father on pg 45 to create these cards.

She has made many more and I will send those your way at a later date.

Now, on to my girl. She and her high school team has been in camp all week at Westside, here are some pictures from camp.

Here, Micah is face to face with a former Junior Olympic team mate, which is pretty cool to see how much they both have improved.

This is coach Darlene. She really is trying to look serious in this picture because she doesn't want you to think she is to much fun...but this year...volleyball is all about fun. Therefore, Micah is having a blast. Micah said she didn't know playing a sport could be this much fun.

Yep, there those girls are again. They will not take a serious picture.

Micah, Em, and Bree. Bree was Micah's room mate at Missouri State and Micah says that this is how Bree is all the time...very little down time...always pumped and acting silly.

Coach Malone and her sweet baby.

Micah and Taylor, another former JO team mate. This was a great camp. The team went 19 - 2 at the camp at Westside...GO EAGLES!!!!

Dont forget to go to the web site. Have a blessed day. Lisa

Card organizer class

Grams birthday...this is my dad's wife and the 21st was her big day...Happy Birtday Vic.

It is so exciting when you see others get excited about what they are doing...that describes last night. We made card organizers that I featured in an earlier post. Very simple project, takes 20 minutes to complete.
Jenny, Vickie, Tammy, and Amy were the takers for last nights class...I have two that are coming during the day to complete their project and I will get those pictures out as well. After the card organizers were made we made three cards to fill in the pockets.

This was the favorite for the night. These girls like techniques...the more the merrier...so we did some embossing and bleaching along with some wator coloring. This stamp set is called "Summer by the Sea". It is in dormant state right now but can still be order. I think it sold it's self last night with the versitility of the stampset.

I will have more to post later today...lots of pictures from volleyball camp that Micah is attending this week.
