God is so good!!

I meet with a group of women on Tuesday mornings for Bible Study and today is worth blogging about. We didn't do it the way we normally do, we kinda just chilled out, ate some fruit and veggies and shared with each other. Tears were shed, advice given, lots of prayer, mentoring and the presence of the Holy Spirit was so real. I am so grateful that I serve a HUGE God that cares about my every need and listens when I cry out to Him. I just really wanted to praise Him publicly, so thanks for letting me do so!!
This is a very simple card that I will be show casing with my "Marker Club" gals this Thursday.

Very simple Recipe all materials used from SU! :
Card Stock: Real Read, Whisper White, and East Coast Prep for the Designer Paper
Ink: Summer Sun and White Gel Pen
Stamp Set: Sassie Suzie without Susie, ha ha
Accessories: Ribbon Slider from the Hodgepodge Hardware and Chip board that I colored with Summer Sun ink on the inside of the card.

This is the inside, not a great picture but you get the idea. Hope you like, let me know what you think. You can purchase any of these cards from me ...Each card is $2.50, the eleventh card and on is $2.00.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!

Wow, season over

The Tarry family has traveled a lot this year, more than I ever dreamed we could or would. We have been to Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, North and South Carolina to name a few...all in less than four months...and now it has come to an end, at least with Volleyball. Micah ended her season with a record of 83-23...not to bad if you ask me. Her team placed second in the tournament she played at this weekend in Tennessee.

Card time...I like this card a lot...it's one of my favorites,

Yes, again it is the Sassy Suzie Stamp set, with Taken with Teal cs as the base card and East Coast Prep Designer paper for the top of the card and Suzie's clothes. Outside of having to cut Suzie out, this is as simple as they come!

Now we focus on baseball,

Fred hangs out with a couple of buddies from his USSSA baseball team and classmates at Greene County Tech 5th grade...You can not see it but both boys in black are on their tip toes b/c Fred is so much taller than them...

Micah trying to butter up the umpires for Fred's game;

Wham, there goes the ball sailing out to center field all the way to the fence...I love taking these shots from the score booth...Ginger, you may want to try that...the quality of these pictures are a lot better than before...This year he plays first base and catcher for the league team...in USSSA, he played catcher, first, and left field..just where ever, he just wants to play the game...

Memee and Micah posing before she takes off to care for the "Duke"...; where's my water memee? She is always buying the kids something but she forgets about me :( ...

The man of many talents...goes from no job for 4 months to three jobs at once...umpiring is the one that I like the least...I can't stand to hear the crowd say ugly things when they disagree with his calls. His boss man says he does pretty good, so I guess I had better get used to it, huh?

Man, it was a long night...

I love watching my kids play ball but for an 11 or 12 year old on a school night, that's a little much. We were tied in the eighth, it is only suppose to go six innings, and at 10:30 the official Umpire of the league called the game. We left the parks at 10:45 in a tie...I guess that is better than losing, huh?. Oh well, here's a new card...all products are from SU! unless other wise stated.
Card stock: Taken with Teal and Bali Breeze Designer Paper page 165, 169
Stamp set: Celebrate Everything, page142
Ink: Basic Black, Versa Mark, Old Olive
Marker: Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen
Accessories: Chipboard, Hobby Lobby Rhinestone, Wal-Mart ribbon
I soaked the chip board on the ink pad to give it a leather look which is easy and neat looking, then assembled the card...easy as 1,2,3.
Hope you like it, let me know what you think.

Good day...

Good day everyone...it's a great day to be alive!!! Just got my tax money in and paid my taxes for the next year, paid off the credit card and still have enough money for hardwood, yeah!!! OK, now to the card. All is SU! products unless otherwise stated;

Recipe:

Card stock: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White

Designer Series Paper: Berry Bliss

Ink: Close to Cocoa and Versa Mark

Accessories: Pretty in Pink Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Hobby Lobby Rhinestone, and a button out of my Button Box

Stamp set: Heart Felt Thanks and a retired stamp set for the "thanks".

  • I stippled Close to Cocoa on the Whisper White;

  • Cut squares of 1 1/2 inches, balled them into a paper wad, unwadded, smoothed out and rubbed them across the Close to Cocoa stamp pad;

  • layered the squares on to the white and then the white onto the cocoa;

  • threaded the ribbon thru the button and tied into a bow;

  • used Stampin' Dimensional to pop up the pink thanks;

  • went around my corners with a while gel pen.

Oh, I forgot that I used the Versa Mark to make a shadow of the "Heartfelt". Let me know what you think, the picture doesn't do it justice. It was a pretty easy card to make.

Tech VS Paragould...Cross town rivals

I don't think that this picture does these cards justice...yep, I am still intrigued with "Sassy Susie". These are three of the cards that I have made for a friend of mine.
Yesterdays game was rained out so we played a double header tonight. Paragould won the first game 3-2 with Tyler Arnold hitting 2 home runs in the first game. Tech won the second 2-1. Joshua had a great night going 4 for 5 and hit by a pitch. No pictures of the game but several fun shots at the game...
Joshua giving his other mom, Thersa, a Happy Birthday hug...
John and Leah Dawn posing for the camera...doesn't she look great!!!
Tyler, Jimmy and Joshua talkin' about the game...they have had it with me taking pictures of them all the time...
Notice, these are all Paragould girls on Tech side...braiding Bailey's hair...

Kyle and Joshua very tired after that game...can you tell? Now off to Wings To Go to hang with the chicks.

Designer paper everywhere...

Just wanted to share with you a gift I made for a friend of Micah's...

I bought a $2 frame from Wal-Mart, used some paper that was given to me by a very precious friend who keeps me in stock with Volleyball paper...thanks Felicia!!!!, and a Volleyball rub-on. Think of the possibilities with other designer paper. I think I will head down to the studio area and make another.

Ok, here's another...

Let me know what you think.

PROM 08

Friday night was a wild night for the whole family...if it is this crazy for a guy I am not looking forward to Micah going to prom. For those saving up for their children, count on having at least $300.00 put away for one prom and that's with a cheap tux. Prom night was a learning experience for the Tarry family...we persevered and laughed later. Lecture your child not to break up with his girl friend right before Prom. Long story and will only share with very close friends...any way, hope you enjoy the pictures...Joshua and Tyler got ready at Sam and C.J.'s house for prom...both forgot their dress socks so wore golf socks instead...

Desi almost had to find a prom dress at the last minute to be Joshua's date...they are very close friends... she would leap buildings for him and I love her to death for it...
Tyler and Cassie

Due to some delays, Joshua met up with his date after pictures, at Brittney's Steakhouse...and no I did not join them...although I would have loved to.

His Best friend, Kyle and his date, Mattie

Joshua, Tyler and Jimmy...the runnin' buddies that cook out every weekend and play, Play Station together when they don't have dates...which is pretty often.

Yes, even at Prom the phone was to his ear...Who could he possibly be talking to?

Savannah, Joshua, and Hailey...Joshua's first and second love in 6th grade, and they are still the best of friends...
Shayla, a friend from church, and Joshua ...

Joey, Joshua, Luke, Wes, and Tyler pose, and pose, and pose...

I guess they have had enough posing for one night, huh? Wake up Josh!!!, Where did Luke go?

Tech boys and Paragould girls danced the night away...

Kristen and Joshua, best buds...

Joshua and Chasity...isn't she beautiful? I am still keeping my fingers crossed...

Baylee and Mattie took time out to talk and pose with Micah...they call her little sis...you will never find two finer young ladies than these two, and I am very greatful they pour time into Micah and hang with her.
Micah hung out with one of her classmates, Clayton.

Last and the most precious of all pictures taken that night, Joshua and daddy, of course dad just slipped thirty more dollars in to his pocket not know that mom had already put twenty in, lol...That is not included in the $300 mentioned earlier...oh well, I won't tell, if you won't and I know that Joshua won't.

Thanks for letting me share a part of my life with you, have a blessed day. ;)

Small Get Together...

Last night was a blast!!!! I had a few ladies over to make cards with me...enjoy the pictures.

Lisa is cutting out Sassy Susy's clothes out of printed designer paper...little pants are tough to cut out, huh Lisa?

Lisa and Vicky showing off their waterfall baby cards...those were no easy task...I have made four now and still messed up. The snacks were pretty good too, brownies and mints for the sweet tooth and mixed nuts for the salty. Something I learned about these ladies is that Vicky is a day person, preferring to get her good nights rest and Lisa doesn't like the skin around the peanuts...she peels them first.

The Sassy Susie stamps set was a hit...I see many more workshops in the future with her. Hope you get to come.

HE'S NO LONGER 16 :( SHE'S NO LONGER 14 :(

My babies are growing up...Joshua turned 17 on Monday and as I mentioned in a previous blog, Micah turned 15 on Easter. They celebrated their birthday together with family. It blows my mind how fast time has flown by...where did it go?

Joshua and Micah before blowing out the candles...

Joshua with best friend, Kyle...

Micah posing with Amber, Callie, Colby, and best bud Mallorye.

Here are a few cards that I made yesterday with my Sassy Suzie stamp set out of the Occasions Mini Collection 2008, page 20, Set of 9 for $26.95 ...let me know what you think.

I used black and white, since that seems to be the happin' thing right now, with be SU! Bold Brights for the ink. I have since changed the candles to three smaller ones that actually match the colors in the card, but I think you get the idea. The wording on the card is "did someone turn the heat up in here...or is it just the candles on your cake?". Cute huh?

Susie is showcasing the Berry Bliss designer paper for her clothing, and the Earth Elements for her clothing. A few rhinestones make it shimmer. The card reads, "we're such good friends because surprisingly, you're not intimidated by my beauty...Happy Birthday."

Now you have to remember that Susie is sassy...you could not send these cards to just anyone, they have to have somewhat of a sense of humor. Go on line to check out the other sayings with the stamp set... www.stampinup.com .

Squirrels galore

Yesterday our neighbor called the kids to come outside and check out the baby squirrels that lived in his tree...the next thing you know the squirrels are crawling over Andrew. They were letting Mike and Micah pet them. There were five squirrels, but three were very friendly...check out the pictures...

Isn't it cool how man and animal enjoy each other.

Thank you Lord for this blessing.
