Suprise!!!!

"SURPRISE" ...That is exactly what I got when I stuck my hand in my pocket Tuesday night. In a previous blog I shared that I lost a SD card with some valuable pictures on it...well I found it...YEA!!! in my pocket, some place I remember putting it so that I would not lose it. Now I can laugh. So that means I have pictures from way back to share with you...hope you don't mind.
First things first. Tuesday was the last home game for Joshua, he is a senior this year. It was parent night where the parents walk out on the field with their child and give them a gift from you and the baseball program. Everyone is standing at the fence...Alicia graciously volunteers to take our picture and guess what...the camera went BYE BYE. No picture! It is an older camera but it has been a good one. The only problem with it now is that it only stays charged...with new batteries...fifteen minutes. I haven't changed settings, so I don't know what is wrong but it has been heading this way for some time now. So, due to graduation being less than a month away and lots and lots more games to play, and after five years of great pictures, I put the Kodak aside and bought a new camera..
Don't know much about it...to high tech for me. I had to have Misty come over yesterday just to show me how to take a picture and then how to view it. Today I plan on playing with it to insure that graduation pictures are good.
So now, on with the SD card I found...my baby girl playing her sport and doing it well. She has never really been given the opportunity to serve and this past year in JO (Junior Olympics), she found out that she could do it pretty good.
Her team after winning the GOLD.
Andrew's first tournament played with his new team the Arkansas Bucks...
Pictures I thought I would never be able to share...Fred's 12th birthday pictured with Amber, his best friend and cousin, and his big sis, Micah.
These baseball pictures were taken at South Carolina, at the Cal Ripkin facilities...
Joshua and Kyle.

I have many more beach, birthday, and Abby pictures to share but don't want to overwhelm you right now, so I will wait till later. Have a blessed day....Lisa

My baby is 18 years old today...

Yeah!!!! He is an adult!!! Today at 12:48 pm my baby boy became 18 years old. He shares a birthday with my uncle Troy and one of my dearest friends, Mimi. Happy birthday everyone. I have several pictures to share with you from his party tonight...

Oh, how he loves this Affliction shirt from the May's...although he decided not to wear it tonight due to the cake, ice cream, and etc...he wanted to make sure it was ready to wear tomorrow to school.
Every boy going off the college needs a TomTom to get them around...that's a navigational system. He is always taking ours so we thought it would be a good idea for
him to have one of his own.

Alicia brought her crew to celebrate with us...

Grandpa Shorty and dad ...
Joshua and Jessie...look what she and Micah did to his room...
The balloons provided lots of entertainment through out the night...loud entertainment.

Happy Birthday to you...happy birthday to you...happy birthday Joshua, happy birthday to you.

Fred tried to help him blow out the candles but they would not go out...I really didn't plan that. I had no idea they were trick candles. I just told the lady behind the counter that I needed 18 candles...no, really.

They were using their fingers to try to put out the candles. Every time they would pick one up to take off the cake it would light up again. It was quite funny.

I am very grateful this year that my children have all me healthy on their birthdays and that they are good kids. It is a blessing to be the parent to all three of our children and I wouldn't change a thing. Love you kiddo's.

Family party for Micah

After a great time in the Word this morning...I started filling out Joshua's graduation announcements. You talk about depressing. I think I am ready for him to get out on his own, then I start reminiscing about his younger years. Man, time goes fast. Words of wisdom...don't sweat the small stuff...enjoy them and who they have become, yes, even if it isn't the dream you planned for your child. God has shown me that my way is not His way and they have to be who they think they are not what I think they should be. Placing them in His hands is one of the hardest things for me to do, as if I could do a better with them...He loves them so much more than I could ever. It's a process for me, not one that I have arrived at just yet either. I am very grateful that He doesn't give up on me and is very patient.
Last night we had our little girls Sweet Sixteen family and friends party. We still have one more to go...her girl/guy scavenger hunt party. Yeah, can't wait...not! We shared a lot of laughter and fun tonight as you will see in some of the pictures. Hope you enjoy...
Micah and her papa posing together...Micah opening her iTune gift cards from her brothers. We gave her one of mommas blue Sapphire and diamond ring after everyone left...that was pretty emotional. She is very proud to have it.
Micah always draw the kids to her...I am sure the camera helped a little too. Look at these two hams.
Gabe and London helped Micah blow out her candles.
Michael just made it to the party...late...Fred had a game that we were not aware was on the schedule so Mike took him and they froze...42 degrees and playing baseball don't go together.

See, my point exactly...TOO much fun at times...haha...love this picture. These guys like attention and they had it.
Tam, Mal, Hannah, and Micah having a pretty serious conversation...I wonder if it is about boys. I will have to get with Tammy on that.

Aunt Shelly saying good bye to us all...
Fred and Aunt Shelly having a little fun with each other before she left. He didn't want in any pictures so she is holding him back to get one. I told him I had to have one of him so that we would know that he was at the party...she may question it one day.

Upsy Daisy #2

Another Upsy Daisy...I really like this stamp set. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to get this finish on glossy paper. Recipe:

Card stock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and Glossy paper

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, and Basic Black

Accessories: Transparency and ribbon

Have fun casing this one...be sure to send me a picture.

Now to family business...

Wednesday night we celebrated PaPa's "69th" birthday at Grecian Steak House.

Well it does say, "Butts Here". So Andrew decided to put his there! lol This is at Tamolly's Mexican Restaurant where Joshua works.

Tuesday was a big day for Micah. We were getting pumped to play cross town rivals, Paragould Rams. I let her decorate my chalk board at school along with her team mate, Emily.

The win was great, but she really only likes to play Paragould if her buddy Malorye, is playing. Since Mallorye was having surgery the next day she was not in the game so we got after game pictures. Notice the pink ribbon in Micah's hair. The team wore these ribbons in honor of Colby Smith's mom who has cancer. Colby plays on the Paragould team. I thought that was a very nice gesture from our girls. Our prayers are with Mrs. Smith.

Micah messin around with Mal. She came through surgery great and is at home, finally. She ended up staying longer than hoped anticipated.

Birthday, Valentine & Friendship

You know every once in a while you just need a little "pick me up"...look at what I got at church tonight from my best bud...

She used one of her Sale-A-Bration stamps...I love it and it made me feel loved...Thanks Ginger.

Here is a picture of Andrews Valentines for his class...cute, easy and cheap...yeah. The ones with the rhinestones are for the girls and without for the boys. He's to big for the...you know...box valentines at Wal-Mart.

I hope each of you have a wonderful Valentine's day...

Birthday boy and Abby

Oh, he'll never be 10 again, the 11's are tumblin' on in...Momma's little boy is growing up in the world, oh, he'll never be 10 again. Can you believe it. It seems only yesterday I was rocking my baby and now he's almost as big as I am. Cake and ice cream at 6:30 if your available.

Yes, I know, she already looks 16...she has been elected as FCCLA President and will be representing Tech Jr. High today in Jonesboro. You go girl.

I have a picture of Joshua's teeth but he says I am a little weird if I put them on display right now. So I am still thinking about how weird I care to be around him...gotta keep those lines of communication open, right?

I will have a card later today...don't have time to put it on right now.

Well off to Bible Study I go...have a great day.
