Andrew's 6th grade field day...

The school sets a side one day of fun and games each year for the students. I spent the day with Andrew and Amber taking pictures...at their request. I have also made a file called...the way we were...so that when they are seniors I don't have to go through looking up pictures. That took hours with Joshua. I guess this is one of those things you learn with the first child.
Here are some photos from Field Day.

Mrs. Davis cheering on her kiddo's as they had to get the hula hoop from one end to the other without breaking their hands apart.

The boys were tied together...you should see the pictures of them trying to get loose...it was funny. Maybe I will show them later.
Andrew's 6th grade class.

This shot is before all of the mud you will see later in the blog. I am glad I got a before shot.
Amber...getting away from the boys.
Andrew and Landon hanging out after their turn at the concession stand. They were starvin'.
Two of Andrew's best buds...Tyler and Chandler watching Andrew's team play kickball while waiting for the their next event.
This was so funny...the obstacle course. They were competing with another team. They had to go around a chair three times, make it through the hurdles, step in all three hula hoops and go around a cone that had mud all around it...check out these pictures.

I'm glad he has a smile on his face because it sure didn't look pretty trying to get through that course...he gets his gracefulness from his momma.
Ok, before you say, "Awwww, poor girls." ...don't! They did this intentionally. I guess they wanted to see who could get the muddiest. I hated it, but they loved it.
Boy, is my truck going to stink!
Andrew and Madison decided to have a mud war... back in my days they called this flirting.
What a mess!
Adrienne, one of Andrew's best friends, was serious about her tug of war...good thing...they won!
All in all, they had a blast. I did make Amber and Andrew clean up a bit before getting into the truck. It was fun watching them be kids. So often we want them to be so grown up and so they do childish things as adults because they never were given the chance to do it as a kid. I pray they got all of this out of their system or I see many articles of clothing ruined in the future.
